For many years now, I have lived a double standard life.
I claim to be a Christian abiding by God’s principles while living another life outside the Christian fold.
Paul in Ephesians said “I find myself doing things I do not want to do while neglecting things I should do” Romans 7:15
In a nutshell, I have been a HYPOCRITE, saying one thing and doing another. I have become a chameleon changing to any environment I find myself and to any group of friends I mingle with, hence becoming a Roman to the Romans.
The Bible calls people like me LUKEWARM because I am neither HOT nor COLD, and hence I am not fit to be called a follower of JESUS.
If you know me, you would perceive me to be nice, easy going, principled and at times funny. In many ways, that reflects my personality, but not my belief in the truth I claim, I believe.
So today, 11th of September, 2016, I want to apologise to my 925 FACEBOOK friends and friends of friend and followers on other social platforms. For making you believe in the person, I am not and denying the person of JESUS (who is FIRST in my life) publicly while claiming to represent him privately.
I want to openly DECLARE today, that I AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BELIEVER who is willing to STAND for JESUS no matter may come my way, and to Have the lifestyle of Christ portrayed in every area of my life. I have raised my standards so high; I cannot meet up with it. But the Bible says “ He’s strength is made perfect in my weakness” 2 Corinthians 12:9
I am no more ashamed of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST, as I affirm standing for the TRUTH of the GOSPEL and refusing to be POLITICALLY CORRECT. I trust God to help me keep to my resolve.
I at this moment asks for FORGIVENESS from anyone who I have deceived, or has emulated my lifestyle thinking me to be a “MORDEN” Christian (neglecting the core values of Christianity) and in the process have stumbled or have derailed or even backsliding in several ways. I want you to know that I AM SORRY I WAS WRONG.
My life should be a living EPISTLE, and not one tossed through and fro like a reed.
The life I have chosen to live henceforth is one dependent on FAITH, GRACE and LOVE.
For some of my you, I might not speak with you anymore, to others I might not laugh at your jokes, go out to events with you, dance to the music you play if they do not reflect the CHRISTIAN lifestyle JESUS.
